El Beltagy: The budget couldn’t bear cotton subsides forever

Dr. Adel El Beltagy, Minister of Agriculture, Land Reclamation, stressed he faces unfair, a devilish campaign to terrorize the Ministry to compel it to continue subsiding cotton crop.
He warned the public budget couldn’t bear that burden forever.
El Beltagy revealed in special statements to “Sada El bald” that he convened a meeting with officials of mills weavers. He asked them last year to buy the cotton crop from the framers, lest it accumulated. But the weavers refused contracting on long staple cotton. They did not buy even one cantar.
The Minister assured President Abdel Fattah El Sisi intervened to save the farmers. The ministry reimbursed 1400 pounds per acre.
